The COVID-19 pandemic is having a significant impact on our daily lives. Governments and businesses across Canada are taking steps to minimize the spread and impact of this virus.
We assure you GMS is able to maintain operations in this unprecedented time. We’ve halted in-person service at our Regina office until further notice, while enacting our Business Continuity Plan to protect the safety and well-being of our staff. We’ve implemented work from home arrangements to prevent the potential for contracting or spreading the virus, and to help staff manage family responsibilities. All staff who continue to come into work at our office are self-monitoring for any sign of illness and following the recommended hygiene protocols.
We’re taking these steps to help stop the spread of COVID-19, and to ensure we can continue to serve our customers. In particular, we know our travel insurance customers need us right now. Our phone call and email volumes are significantly higher as we help TravelStar customers, and our Individual and Group Health Plan customers with travel coverage. With this in mind, we’re shifting our call centre hours to 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. CST, allowing for more representatives to be available to answer calls and emails during peak times.
We are also busy maintaining business as usual for our Individual Health and Group Health Plan customers, and our Immigrants & Visitors to Canada customers. We appreciate the patience of all customers contacting us by phone and email during these hectic days. We’re dedicating additional resources to help reduce call waiting times. But it would also help greatly if you choose to do business with us through other channels whenever possible, as outlined below.

To submit claims: Online is your quickest option. Go to www.gms.ca, sign up for a My GMS Account and you will be able to submit claims online and sign-up for claim direct deposit to have your claim payments automatically put into your account.
To make payment: Call us at 1.800.667.3699 and we’ll take your payment by credit card. You can also call us to set up convenient monthly payments that are automatically debited from your bank account.
To request tax receipts: Please email your request to email@example.com. Be sure to include your full name, date of birth, and GMS ID number.
