Join Our Board. Contribute Meaningfully. Make an Impact.
At GMS, we've been helping Canadians for more than 75 years to get the health and travel insurance they want and need. The same pioneering spirit that started our story is what drives us to do things differently today. Insurance, honestly, is our promise, and it’s what we do at GMS. We care about our customers, our community and each other. As a non-profit organization, we’re proud to reinvest our profits into the health of the communities we serve and that have supported us since 1949.
The GMS board is currently seeking two individuals who are passionate about our mission and eager to contribute their skills and experience as members of our Board of Directors.
We’re looking for individuals whose skills and competencies complement the existing board, specifically in the areas of financial and actuarial expertise (with an insurance background), distribution experience, marketing and business and product development. We are also interested in individuals that are knowledgeable about emerging governance practices in areas such as artificial intelligence.
We are looking for a minimum 3-year term commitment with the possibility of renewal based on business needs and performance. This is a remunerated position requiring a time commitment of 200 hours/year.
