We've got you covered.

As part of our commitment to coverage and care, GMS Replacement Health customers are eligible for coverage for a wider range of prescription drugs than other insurance providers.

We created this tool to help you find out which drugs are covered under your plan so you get the most out of your benefit dollars. No more costly surprises the next time you visit your pharmacist.

Our Prescription Drug Lookup Tool lists drugs that need a Prior Authorization Form. Printing a copy to take to your doctor’s appointment will speed up the process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why doesn’t my drug show up in the Prescription Drug Lookup Tool?

Our Lookup Tool includes the most effective, affordable drugs on the market right now. If you don’t see your drug on the list, chances are there’s a suitable equivalent. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to find out what else might work for you.

What’s the difference between generic and brand name drugs?

A generic drug is basically a copy of a brand name drug whose patent has expired. On average, generic drugs cost about 75% less than a brand name drug. Health Canada requires all generic drugs to have the same quality, medicinal ingredients, purity, effectiveness, and safety as the brand name.

Is my coverage based on the brand name or the generic price?

We’ll cover you to a maximum of 80% of the cost of the generic drug. Going with the generic option is the best way to stretch your benefit dollars!

What is prescription drug prior authorization?

To make sure you’re covered, it’s best to get our pre-approval before taking high-cost drugs. Prior authorization forms speed up this process.
