On June 24, 2024, GMS officially turns 75. As we celebrate this diamond anniversary, we’d like to say ‘thank you’ to our customers. We wouldn’t be here without you. 

“You don’t get to be a company of 75 years without the trust of customers. Trust is earned. Thank you for putting your trust in us,” says Mark MacLeod, President and CEO of GMS. 

GMS’ roots trace back to humble beginnings in Saskatchewan’s farming and rural communities. The simple goal was to help people pay each other's medical costs.  

Over the decades, as people expected more from their insurance, GMS rose to the challenge. We added more value by including health and lifestyle benefits like dental care, paramedical service benefits, travel insurance and more. And as customers changed the way they did business, we created online options to buy coverage, submit claims and get paid for claims. 

One thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to customers. Providing top-notch service with a personalized touch is a pillar of who GMS is and what we stand for. 

“We’re the little company that cares about customers. We always have, and always will,” says MacLeod.
