Return of Remains | Cost for remains preparation and transportation to your country of origin, destination in Canada up to $10,000, or the cost of cremation or burial at the place of death up to $4,000. |
Childcare | Up to $500 for licensed childcare for a dependant travelling with you if you are hospitalized. |
Repatriation without a Medical Attendant | Up to $5,000 to transport you home for further medical treatment (with pre-approval from GMS). |
Repatriation with a Medical Attendant | Up to $5,000 to transport you home for further medical treatment . The $5,000 limit includes expenses for one-way air transportation for 1 accompanying family member insured under your policy (with pre-approval from GMS). |
Out-of-Pocket Expenses | Cost of accommodation, meals, necessary phone calls, and taxi or bus fares for an accompanying family member if hospitalization continues after the policy expiry date. Covers up to $150 per day to a maximum of $1,000. |
24-Hour Travel Assistance Services | Coordination of all medical care, transportation, and repatriation; telephone interpretation services in most languages; and monitoring of progress during treatment and recovery by managed care. |
Travel Benefits Outside of Canada | Benefits apply to eligible side-trips up to 30 days, outside of Canada, that a. originate and terminate in Canada; and b. are not greater than 50% of your period of coverage (excluding visits to your country of origin):
