GMS is proud to continue its partnership with Run Regina for another five years as the title sponsor of the GMS Queen City Marathon (QCM) for 2026-2031.
“We are delighted to be renewing the title sponsorship. The QCM has become such a significant event for our community. Like GMS, the QCM came from humble beginnings with community members joining together to be a bright light and create positive, lasting change,” says Balvinder Gill, Acting CEO, GMS.
“The true heartbeat of our community lives in the vitality and determination of the participants, the energy of the volunteers and supporters, and the collective spirit that brings us all together. The QCM ignites and unites us. We are proud to be with you for every step of the marathon,” she adds.
The partnership extension solidifies GMS’ support for 15 consecutive years as the title sponsor.
“It’s an incredible commitment,” says Shawn Weimer, Executive Director/Race Director with Run Regina and Queen City Marathon. “It means that as we look forward to the next decade, we know we have a firm footing to start on. We've got a base to build from, and it allows us the freedom to go out and really focus on those participant experiences.”
Participation in the GMS Queen City Marathon continues to grow each year. In 2026, more than 6,000 people registered for a race, with the majority registering for an in-person event. The event continues to generate in excess of $2 million economic impact annually for the City of Regina.
