GMS proudly partnered with Do It With Class (DIWC) Youth Theatre to cover the cost of tickets so that school children could enjoy an afternoon of live theatre from November 14-16, 2024.
Through this seat sponsorship, children from various schools were able to attend a matinee performance of The Little Prince, adapted from a novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and presented by DIWC.
“Live theatre has the power to ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and foster social-emotional growth. By providing access to performances like The Little Prince, we aim to encourage young people to dream big, think critically, and connect with others,” says Robert Ursan, Creative Director of Do It With Class. “We are incredibly grateful to GMS for their ongoing support of our Sponsored Seat Program, which helps make access to the live theatre experience accessible to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity.”
“Since we began in 1949, GMS has been committed to giving back to our community and investing in activities that make a difference in people's lives. We’re honoured to help youth through this sponsorship, and support an event that enriches their lives,” says Mark MacLeod, President and Chief Executive Officer, GMS.
For over 75 years, GMS has prioritized care and community. As a non-profit, GMS is proud to reinvest its profits into the health and wellness of communities across Saskatchewan.
